Yellowstone's Ecosystem
Yellowstone's ecosystem is part forest, and part rivers and lakes. Some of the things that make up its ecosystem are wolves, moose, beavers, fireweed, sand verbena, hot water springs, obsidian and yellow stone (rocks), and grass. One thing that is threatening the ecosystem in Yellowstone is the wolf population. Wolves have been proven to support most of the national parks ecosystem, so without them the health and wellness of the park might fail. Another thing about Yellowstone's ecosystem is that their grizzly bear population is not thriving. In 2007 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (U.S.F.W.S.) had to come and remove the grizzly bears from the area because of the treat humans, loss of habitat, and significant habitat alterations brought.
